About me
I am a Research Associate at the National Research Council Canada where I am studying the effects of micro and nanoplastics on aquatic organisms using zebrafish (Danio rerio) as a model. I am also developing methods using Pyrolysis-GC/MS to quantify nanoplastics in the environment.
I completed my PhD in 2018 in France at the Université du Littoral Côte d’Opale where I worked at the French Food Agency on microplastics in seafood products. I continued my research on microplastics at the University of Toronto where I worked for Dr Chelsea Rochman. During my time in Toronto, I developed methods for quantification of microplastics using Pyrolysis-GC/MS and led diverse experiments to understand the role of plastic additives in the overall toxicity of microplastics to organisms. I am an active member of the pELAstic project conducted at IISD-Experimental Lake Area where experiments are conducted to understand the effects of microplastics and their additives on an aquatic ecosystem.
